OUR NICHE
Addressing The Psychological Imprints Impacting Outcomes
Performance limitations are rarely only physical. Sudden or chronic physical pain, mental fatigue, headaches, and recurring (non-impact) injuries are often a few of the many signs that the nervous system and mind is holding onto stress. In performance psychology research this relates to Allostatic Load: The cumulative cost of repeated or sustained adaptation to stress and the strain that places on the system. If that imprint isn't strategically addressed, the body and / or mind eventually hits a wall. Aligned Athlete occupies a rare niche: negotiating with your nervous system, via hands-on sports therapy (BSc), grounded in field experience, combined with (MSc) performance psychology, bio-field and neural feedback within sessions. This dual lens allows the layers, physical and neural, to be addressed symbiotically.

Meet Dionne
Dionne has over 14 years of experience in elite sport and high-performance environments across Ireland, England, and the USA.
Her practice is grounded in sport science and sports medicine foundations and informed by postgraduate work in applied sports psychology. She interprets what is happening at a tissue and loading level while also attending to the nervous system and psychological dimensions of performance, with the aim of restoring mobility, supporting long-term recovery, and strengthening clarity, confidence, and resilience in the people she works with.
